Zircle Coffee

Zircle Coffee Hits the Japanese Market!

Hey coffee lovers! Gather around, because we’ve got some sizzling hot news straight from the beans of Honduras. This year, Zircle Coffee scored big in Japan! Yep, you heard it right. We've brewed up a storm, and now our beloved Honduran coffee is making waves across the Pacific. Let's spill the beans on how it all went down.

For nearly a decade, Zircle Coffee, proudly co-founded by two Honduran and one Taiwanese aficionados, has been on a mission to flood Taiwan with the finest Honduran coffee. Pirates Coffee and Bad Boys Coffee have become household names here, and guess what? It’s time to share this liquid gold with the world. COVID-19 might have slowed us down, but it didn’t stop us from dreaming big.

Exploring the Japanese Market

Last year, we took a leap of faith and landed in Japan for the Coffee International Expo. First timers, clueless, and excited—we were ready to explore. Thanks to our coffee exporter’s intel, we knew Japanese coffee lovers had a soft spot for Honduran beans. Fun fact: Japan is Asia’s top market for Honduran coffee! So, armed with curiosity and a lot of caffeine, we dove right in and mingled with over 10 companies, all eyes on the prize.

A New Partnership

Enter the hero of our story—a Japanese company expanding its coffee horizons. We sent over samples of Bad Boys and Pirates from Taiwan, fingers crossed. Boom! Positive feedback came rolling in, and just like that, a beautiful relationship was born.

Focusing on Quality

Fast forward to the start of this year: more samples shipped to Japan, more coffee love brewing. Bad Boys and Pirates both got a thumbs-up, but Bad Boys stole the show. Clean, sweet, and oh-so-delicious—that’s what they were looking for. Turns out, Japanese coffee aficionados are all about that clean cup life. Extra flavors? Sure, they’re a bonus, but clean is king. This was a whole new ball game for us, different from Taiwan’s palate preferences, and boy, did we learn a lot!

Ensuring Top-Notch Quality

After sealing the deal with a fair price, our Japanese friends wanted an inside look at our quality control process. Challenge accepted! During my trip to Honduras, we documented everything—sampling, testing, and cupping over 80 cups from randomly selected bags. We even roped in more than seven professional cuppers to join the tasting party. Quality checks? Nailed it!

A Heartfelt Thanks

And now, dear readers, a moment of appreciation. We couldn’t have done this without you. Your support over the past years has helped us refine our quality control, strengthen ties with farmers, and reach new heights. So here’s a shoutout to you—our amazing customers in Taiwan. Because of you, Bad Boys coffee is not only a hit here but also loved by our friends in Japan.

As we continue to grow and learn, rest assured we’ll keep serving you the best Honduran coffee. Thank you for being part of our journey. Cheers to many more cups of joy!
