THE ZIRCLE COFFEE STORY
Our inspiration is to share a cup of Honduran coffee to the world
It all started in 2015 when we were wondering “Why is not easy to find Honduran coffee in Taipei?” our curiosity led us to the adventure to understand the Taiwanese coffee consumers and work directly with coffee farmers in Honduras.
Today, we have the privilege to supply Honduran Specialty Coffee green beans to the Taiwanese market.
In 2020 after witnessing the impact that COVID-19 had on the small coffee farmers in Honduras, we decided to shift gears and expand our horizons letting more coffee consumers all over the world to enjoy our Honduran Specialty Coffee.
WHAT AND HOW?
Our goal is to connect coffee green beans importers and roasters to our small farmers in Honduras and build long term relationships.
We will provide assurances to buyers and coffee producers that a fair deal is done, implement processes that aim at evaluating the quality of the coffee in the different purchasing stages by constantly testing the selected coffees, and we will also provide support in coordinating exports.
Our team based in Honduras will do the job pre and post-harvest for you, so you won’t have more headaches anymore.
WHY SMALL AND MEDIUM COFFEE FARMERS?
Many factors place them at a disadvantage such as little access to information, education, ability to communicate with the international community, and the list goes on. However, we believe in their potential and that’s why we work closely with them to share the best practices that will create a sustainable business where they can enhance their coffee quality and be able to get fair prices.
WHY THE NAME ZIRCLE
We fell in love with the circle shape for its perfection. Then we picture ourselves pushing a huge wheel and for the wheel to turn we need to push harder together and that is achieved through our discipline and inspiration, because we believe that we can expand the human potential by moving forward together.
As for the Z letter, well we just didn’t like C.
Our team in Honduras travels around the country visiting the farms to select the coffee and create close relationships with the farmers making sure we follow ethical practices and deliver our coffee to customers with high quality standards.
