The Giant's Cave is the oldest archaeological site in Honduras, it is said that people lived there around 9,480 years before Christ in the "Giant's Cave." This place was discovered by George Hasemann, according to archaeologists, the first inhabitants of what is now Honduras, and probably Central America. According to experts, if there were giants, they would be people of magnificent stature, capable of facing the big beasts that inhabited the Honduran landscape. The cave of the giant has painted images on the walls, the most curious are the impressions with white and red pigment of a hand. The Giant’s Cave is located in the village of La Estanzuela, Municipality of Marcala, department of La Paz, very close to other beautiful tourist sites in the area, such as La Cascada La Estanzuela, just 500 meters from the cave.

Cataratas La Estanzuela, located in the village of La Estanzuela, just 8 kilometers from Marcala on the road heading towards La Esperanza, is a must-see for nature enthusiasts. The village is home to the La Estanzuela River, which forms beautiful 25-meter-high waterfalls also known as Cataratas La Estanzuela.
